A brief Overview - Nikon D700: The D700 Digital SLR camera is aimed at the pros, semi-pros and serious enthusiasts. Coming close to all the major anouncements from Nikon this year, the D700 is destined to impress, with performance and also specs. The D700 DSLR, looks and feels more like the D300, than the D3. We believe this would be the upgrade path for you, especially when you are moving from the D200 or the D300. The D700 also has the renowned image quality of the D3, but in a smaller and more affordable form factor. Major features include the Virtual Horizon Indicator from the D3 (now also active in Live View mode), 51-point AF system with 3D tracking, and the two Live View modes (Handheld and Tripod). Large 3-inch LCD has 920,000 pixels, for excellent photo preview and detailed Live View as the D3 and D300. Just like the Nikon D300, the D700 has the Integrated Dust Reduction systems, which had not made it to the D3. Acoording to Nikon, this was feature was not ready when the D3 had gone into production.
